Yamato’s goal at a global level is to be recognized as the world leader in weighing solutions while going head to head with strong competition in the weighing industry. They came to Top Floor with specific goals in mind including increasing sales to end-users, an increase in parts sales, and most importantly, building brand awareness and promoting the “Yamato Difference”. Additionally, because of their global presence, they wanted to really focus on the promotion of Yamato Americas instead of their HQ and other subsidiaries’ websites.

Solution

Top Floor’s first step included ways to improve the search visibility of the products and capabilities that Yamato provides. The focus immediately became on creating improvements on the Yamato America website through keywords, adding a related products section to the application pages, and internal linking. These additions help foster the usability of the website for customers and in turn, help lead to those quality leads. We coupled these strategies with an ongoing paid search display campaign including keyword research, new ad groups, and optimized ads to drive traffic to the website. 

To assist with Yamato’s goal of increased brand recognition and the “Yamato Difference”, Top Floor created a brand new page specifically outlining the qualities that set them apart from their competitors, backed up with case studies featuring their clients.

The Results

While we are still early in our partnership with Yamato, we have seen some very encouraging results. Overall, we’ve seen growth in goal conversions and an increase in the way users are able to connect with Yamato for solutions. Our new “Yamato Difference” page has seen consistent traffic and reinforces the goals and benefits of trusting Yamato with weighing needs.

Yamato was very focused on increasing Automatic scales and part sales. Based on this goal, we turned to paid search and created a display campaign for automatic scales, which included extensive keyword research to identify valuable automatic scale keyword targets. Additionally, we set up ad groups for different types of automatic scales and created optimized search ads to drive traffic to the website in an effort to increase conversions.

Our paid search campaign has also yielded some great results including increased leads in our campaign promoting Automatic scales. Additionally, we’ve generated a total of 317 conversions from our brand-related campaign, fostering our focus on the importance of brand recognition.
