Did you know that in 2019, the number of women in senior management roles globally grew to 29%? This is the highest number ever recorded. In 2020, this percentage remained the same, according to reports from Grant Thorton.
This March in honor of Women’s History Month, we celebrate the women of our past and all that was accomplished throughout history. Although this year is no different in the fact that we will continue to celebrate, we are now adding to the history of Top Floor in a monumental way.
In 2021, we celebrate that Top Floor’s management team is comprised of 100% women. We are shattering the ceiling and proving we belong in senior-level management roles. Being in a management role allows our voices to be heard, make positive changes, support the company as a whole, and have an impact. The ownership team represents two males, and they work very closely with the management team as a whole. Both teams work very closely together to make Top Floor one of the best places to work and partner with, and we’re setting a new precedent for companies alike.
Every woman on the management team brings their own uniqueness, knowledge, expertise, and personality to the company, management team, and their role. We listen to each other, we ask questions, we give feedback, and we support one another. Women supporting women. We love to see it and love being the ones leading by example.
I am so proud to be a part of a company that recognizes and rewards hard work, no matter the gender. I am honored to sit beside my fellow management team of women who share the same ideals and goals for our company. I am grateful to be a woman. I am thankful to all of the powerful women that have come before us that broke barriers for us to be here and opened more seats at the table.
