Great Expressions Dental Centers wanted to increase qualified traffic, in their case customers seeking appointments, in multiple markets on the East Coast.
The Solution
Given Google’s dominance as a tool to locate medical professionals, our primary strategy was to gain organic search engine prominence through four key actions:
- Increase the number of high-quality inbound links directed at the site
- Optimize on-page elements on individual office pages
- Optimize existing inbound links
- Improve rankings for individual office listings in Google Places

Between October 2010 – when this initiative began – and February 2011, site performance through organic search alone yielded:
- 92.78% increase in visits
- 184.4% increase in requests for an appointment
- 61.49% increase in conversion rate (% of visits resulting in a request for an appointment)
