Position Overview
Our web designers are responsible for designing engaging websites that convey and enhance the client’s brand and achieve their business objectives. You will work with our clients and our web development team (creative director, programmers, and search marketing specialists) to establish the sites’ look and feel, navigation system, functionality and architecture.
Your role in the design process will include interviewing clients to establish the appropriate direction for the project, the creation and presentation of design mocks, site maps and wireframes. You will also be responsible for the design of site elements such as banners, ads, buttons and effects, etc.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in website design
- Strong design and creative skills
- Solid understanding of web technology
- Strong skills in the design of site navigation
- Well versed in web usability best practices
- Advanced skills with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other industry-standard computer graphics software
- A proven process for developing and documenting site architecture
- Strong writing skills
- Effective at communicating with clients and colleagues
Valued Additions
- E-Commerce design experience
- Advanced skills in user interface design and information architecture
- Ability to use Google Analytics to understand user behavior and site issues
- Understanding of Search Engine Optimization
- Usability testing experience
- Marketing and copywriting experience
- Drupal development experience
